Volleyball Recap: Plano Comes Up Short

Plano had taken Somonauk down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Reapers fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 2-1. The Reapers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Plano sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 17-25, 25-10.

Plano has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-22 record this season. As for Somonauk, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Plano does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Somonauk, they will take on Indian Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
