Baseball Recap: Amador Valley Dons vs. Granada Matadors        
        
		
            
 Amador Valley was the  5-2 winner over Granada when they last played one another  last Wednesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Amador Valley Dons fell victim to a  tough 8-2 defeat at the hands of the Granada Matadors  on Friday.
 Amador Valley got a good showing from  Brennan Baptist, who   pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (he also didn't allow any  walks). Baptist has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side, Amador Valley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Matthew Foley, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-2.
 On Granada's side,  Parker Warner was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He  didn't allow a single  earned run over five innings pitched. Warner was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs while going 3-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Riley Winchell was  excellent,  going 1-for-4 with a  home run and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Mikey Boyd, who  went 1-for-3 with two  RBI.
 Amador Valley's loss was  their fourth straight at home, which  dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Granada, their victory bumped their record up to 17-1.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Amador Valley will take on Dublin at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Granada, they will be playing at home against Foothill at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
