Kofi Idris leads a balanced attack to beat Browne

Recap: Camelback Spartans vs. Browne Bruins

Even though the Browne Bruins scored an imposing 56 points on Wednesday, the Camelback Spartans still came out on top. Camelback snuck past Browne with a 62-56 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Camelback.

Camelback got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kofi Idris out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds. Idris is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Jaylin Ideran was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Browne lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Adam Chaffin, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. Chaffin hasn't dropped below two blocks for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Raevonta Hill, who scored 17 points along with two steals.

Even though they lost, Browne were working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Camelback only racked up four assists.

Camelback's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Browne, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.

Camelback will be playing in front of their home fans against North at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Browne, they will head out on the road to face off against Alhambra at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Alhambra is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
