The Hudson Explorers will challenge the Valley Forge Patriots at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Hudson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.3 runs per game this season.

Hudson took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past Cuyahoga Falls 14-4. While the Explorers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The team relied heavily on Shawna Baylor, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Madison Rosko was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.

Hudson was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .435. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, Valley Forge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Rocky River, falling 14-1. The contest marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Valley Forge's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Hudson, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-4.
