There's no place like home for Smithson Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past the Wagner Thunderbirds 9-3 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Rangers, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Smithson Valley is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Wagner, they moved to 6-16 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
