Recap: Pierce County Bears vs. Fellowship Christian Paladins
The Pierce County Bears had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They really took it to Fellowship Christian for the full four quarters, racking up a 49-17 win at home. Considering Pierce County has won 11 matchups by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Caden Mcgatha continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 280 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry, and also throwing for 73 yards and a touchdown on only six passes.
Although Fellowship Christian took the loss, they still got scores from Evan Haynes and Cj Givers.
The victory was the seventh in a row for Pierce County, bringing their record for this year to 12-1. As for Fellowship Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3.
Pierce County will face off against Fitzgerald at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams have allowed few points on average, (Fitzgerald: 14.5, Pierce County: 8) so any points scored will be well earned. Fellowship Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
