Soccer Game Preview: St. Joseph Academy vs. St. Johns Country Day

St. Joseph Academy is 2-8 against St. Johns Country Day since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The St. Joseph Academy Flashes will venture away from home to face off against the St. Johns Country Day Spartans at 6:00 p.m. St. Johns Country Day took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on St. Joseph Academy, who comes in off a win.

St. Joseph Academy's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Seacoast Christian Academy as St. Joseph Academy made off with a 3-0 win. Considering the Flashes have won eight contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, St. Johns Country Day was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 2-0 defeat to Fletcher. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 461st, while the Senators are ranked 187th).

St. Johns Country Day's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for St. Joseph Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-6.
