Softball Recap: West Brunswick Takes a Loss

West Brunswick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 9-6 to the North Brunswick Scorpions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Scorpions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in March.

West Brunswick saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kady Long, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Brooklyn Somers was another, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

West Brunswick's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for North Brunswick, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

West Brunswick has already played their next match, a 6-3 loss against Topsail on the 17th. As for North Brunswick, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-0 defeat against South Brunswick on the 17th.
