Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Melbourne). They blew past the Palm Beach Christian Prep Saints 67-0 on Friday. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Bulldogs just coasted through the last quarter.

Melbourne's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Edrick Hall, who threw for 107 yards and three TDs. Tyrese Jefferson was in the mix too, providing the Bulldogs with two scores.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Melbourne's defense and their four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. They received some extra help from Kamarre Jennings, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

The win made it two in a row for Melbourne and bumps their season record up to 3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 16 points in those games. As for Palm Beach Christian Prep, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Melbourne will square off against Palm Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Palm Beach Christian Prep, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Mt. Bethel Christian Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
