Softball Game Preview: Everett Seagulls vs. Burlington-Edison Tigers

The Everett Seagulls will venture away from home to face off against the Burlington-Edison Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Everett's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Burlington-Edison's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Burlington-Edison will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Everett extended their winning streak to three on Friday. The Seagulls were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Edmonds-Woodway. While the Seagulls didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, Burlington-Edison didn't have quite enough to beat Kamiak on Saturday and fell 7-6. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Everett's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Burlington-Edison, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Everett was able to grind out a solid victory over Burlington-Edison when the teams last played back in March of 2025, winning 10-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Seagulls since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
