Basketball Recap: Galileo Triumphs

While Galileo has struggled on the road with four straight losses, that wasn't the case on Tuesday thanks to Dean Belayadi. The Galileo Lions managed a 46-41 victory over the Lowell Cardinals thanks in part to Belayadi, who posted 14 points and seven boards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in blocks (two).

Galileo's win bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Lowell, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Galileo will head out to challenge Balboa at 5:30 p.m. on January 22nd. As for Lowell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Lowell likes a good challenge.
