Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Kinley Crisp and Samantha Baty Lead Walker to Victory

Walker picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They came out on top against the Lee County Trojans by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolverines.

Walker was led to victory by Samantha Baty and Kinley Crisp. Baty had five digs and two aces, while Crisp had two aces and two assists. Baty has been hot for a while, having also posted 14 or more assists the last nine times she's played.

They weren't the only good server: Walker was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in seven consecutive matches.

Walker's victory bumped their record up to 18-9. As for Lee County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season.

Walker wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Starr's Mill on the 13th. As for Lee County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Darlington on the 13th.
