IDEA College Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost to the South Texas Christian Academy Panthers on the road by a 54-38 margin. One positive for the Griffins, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Texas Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jovan Ramirez, who posted nine points along with eight steals and seven boards. The dominant performance gave Ramirez a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Martin Tamayo, who had 22 points.

IDEA College Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for South Texas Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

IDEA College Prep didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 72-47 loss against Monte Alto on the 23rd. As for South Texas Christian Academy, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Harvest Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025.
