Sycamore lost to Fairview last Thursday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the War Eagles who were credited with the victory. The Sycamore War Eagles got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Fairview Yellowjackets' four. Sycamore's winning goal came courtesy of Dominik Gutierrez.

Sycamore has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 46 goals over those nine matches. As for Fairview, they moved to 11-6-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

Looking ahead, Sycamore will host Hume-Fogg at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hume-Fogg's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Fairview, they will face off against Station Camp at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
