The Sunrise Mountain Miners will take on the Doral Academy Red Rock Dragons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Sunrise Mountain has three straight victories, Doral Academy Red Rock has 11 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
Last Thursday, Sunrise Mountain got the win against Southeast Career Tech by a conclusive 3-0.
While Sunrise Mountain won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-13, 26-24.

Sunrise Mountain can attribute much of their success to Angel Torres, who had 16 assists and seven digs. That's the most assists Torres has posted since back in March.
Meanwhile, Doral Academy Red Rock came up short against Legacy on Thursday and fell 3-1.
While Doral Academy Red Rock ultimately came up short, they really made Legacy work, particularly in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-15, 20-25, 28-26.
Doral Academy Red Rock's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Sunrise Mountain, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-11.
Everything went Sunrise Mountain's way against Doral Academy Red Rock in their previous matchup back in March, as Sunrise Mountain made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Miners repeat their success, or do the Dragons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
