Basketball Game Preview: Mississinewa Indians vs. Madison-Grant Argylls

Mississinewa has gone 8-2 against Madison-Grant recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Mississinewa Indians will be home for the holidays to greet the Madison-Grant Argylls at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Mississinewa is headed into the game having just suffered their closest defeat since February 9th on Friday. They fell just short of Oak Hill by a score of 40-38. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mississinewa might have lost, but man, Kiontaye Woods was a machine: he dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. Those ten rebounds gave Woods a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Rayveon Fetz, who posted nine points.

Even though they lost, Mississinewa was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Oak Hill only racked up five assists.

Meanwhile, Madison-Grant's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Saturday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 51-50 to Lewis Cass. The loss was the Argylls' first of the season.

Mississinewa's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Madison-Grant, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Mississinewa didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Madison-Grant in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 53-48 win.
