Volleyball Recap: Marburn Academy Comes Up Short

Marburn Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Foxfire Phoenix. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Phoenix earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Marburn Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-17, 25-20, 25-12.

Marburn Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Foxfire, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Marburn Academy is set to face off against their familiar foe Ohio School for the Deaf at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Foxfire will take on rival Patriot Prep Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
