Recap: Randolph-Henry Statesmen vs. Amelia County Raiders
The Randolph-Henry Statesmen pushed their score all the way to 56 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 74-56 to Amelia County. Randolph-Henry was down 62-36 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
JUSTIN PERRY was his usual excellent self, scoring 36 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists for Amelia County. PERRY is crushing the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. JAIDEN SQUIRE was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five blocks and four steals.
Randolph-Henry's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Amelia County, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-5.
Randolph-Henry will be playing in front of their home fans against the Generals at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. William Campbell has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 185 points over their last three games. As for Amelia County, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st. Hopefully Nottoway focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 31 last Monday.
