Softball Recap: Columbia Takes a Loss

Columbia easily dispatched Hattiesburg on Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Wildcats fell just short of the Sebastopol Bobcats by a score of 17-15 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Wildcats have suffered since February 28th.

Columbia moved to 12-11 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Sebastopol, their win bumped their record up to 20-4.

Columbia didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-5 victory against Southeast Lauderdale on the 12th. As for Sebastopol, they will welcome Taylorsville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
