Volleyball Recap: Campbellsport's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

There's no place like home for Campbellsport, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Winnebago Lutheran Academy Vikings by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. The win was some much needed relief for the Cougars as it spelled an end to their four-match losing streak.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 19-25, 25-22, 25-17.

Campbellsport can attribute much of their success to Garvey Ayla, who had 13 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Ayla has posted over her last four matchups.

Ayla wasn't the only good servers: Campbellsport was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. The Cougars are 7-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

The victory got Campbellsport back to even at 16-16. As for Winnebago Lutheran Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-18.

Campbellsport has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Lomira on the 16th. As for Winnebago Lutheran Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Wautoma on the 14th.
