Softball Recap: Borger Comes Up Short

Borger was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They lost 17-3 to the West Plains Wolves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-1 on March 3rd.

Borger saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shaley Rosebrugh, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Borger's defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for West Plains, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Borger will face off against Randall at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Raiders will aim to continue their five-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. As for West Plains, they will challenge Pampa at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Harvesters have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.85 runs per game on average), something the Wolves will no doubt try to take advantage of.
