Recap: Broome Centurions vs. Blacksburg Wildcats

The Broome Centurions had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Blacksburg 72-45 at home. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Broome also won the last time the pair played last Monday.

Leading Broome to victory were Lance Henderson and Ja'Coreyun Broadus. Henderson scored 18 points along with 5 assists, while Broadus scored 18 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. The game was Henderson's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Xavier Hill, who scored 11 points.

When it comes to explaining why Blacksburg lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ziyon Harris. Despite the final result, he scored 10 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Federico, who scored 5 points.

Broome's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Blacksburg, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.

Broome won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Chesnee at 7:30 p.m. on November 28th. Blacksburg is on the road again on Friday and play against Clover at 7:30 p.m. on December 1st. Hopefully Clover focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Tuesday.
