Recap: Duncan Wildkats vs. Baboquivari Warriors
The Duncan Wildkats suffered their biggest loss since December 8, 2023 on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Baboquivari at home and fell 65-37. Duncan has struggled against Baboquivari recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Duncan's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Isaac Harris, who scored 16 points along with three steals, and Isiah Sumner who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and four blocks. Harris hasn't dropped below two steals for 11 straight games. Another player making a difference was Pablo Ruiz, who scored four points.
Duncan has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Baboquivari, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Duncan will square off against Patagonia at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Patagonia focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday. As for Baboquivari, they will head out on the road to challenge St. David at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
