After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Appoquinimink, St. Georges Tech was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 38-0 win over the Hodgson Vo-Tech Eagles. The Hawks' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Leading St. Georges Tech to victory were Joel Buck and Jayden Goffigan. Buck rushed for 51 yards and three touchdowns, while Goffigan rushed for 72 yards and one score on only six carries. Those 72 rushing yards gave Goffigan a new career-high.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: St. Georges Tech was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 240 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

St. Georges Tech's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Mekhi Smith, Derek Foxmoor, and Micah Johnson, who each picked up one sack apiece. Smith was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making eight total tackles in addition to snagging an interception.
