Chiles has gone 7-1 against Suwannee recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Chiles Timberwolves will square off against the Suwannee Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Chiles is headed into the match having just posted their closest victory since April 20, 2024 on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Leon 3-2. The Timberwolves haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Jake Gardner looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Tyler Correa, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was Carter Allen, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Suwannee came into Friday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over Wakulla on Friday. The game was the first time the Bulldogs have beaten the War Eagles on their field since March 2, 2017.
Colton Rogers was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season.
In other batting news, W. Grayson Bonds was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one triple and two RBI. That triple was his first of the season.
The win got Chiles back to even at 5-5. As for Suwannee, the victory also got them back to even at 5-5.
Chiles beat Suwannee 4-0 when the teams last played back in April of 2023. Does Chiles have another victory up their sleeve, or will Suwannee turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
