Soccer Recap: Silver Comes Up Short

After flying high against Alamogordo two weeks ago, Silver came back down to earth. The Fighting Colts took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Miyamura Patriots on Saturday.

Silver's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Miyamura, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-1-1.

Silver will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Santa Teresa at 7:00 p.m. on October 7. As for Miyamura, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kirtland Central at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Miyamura's defense better be ready for this one: Kirtland Central have averaged an impressive 4.1 goals per game this season.
