Basketball Game Preview: Forest Lake Academy Panthers vs. Foundation Academy Lions

The Forest Lake Academy Panthers just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Foundation Academy Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Forest Lake Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Orangewood Christian to the tune of 61-8 on Wednesday. The Panthers pushed the score to 48-6 by the end of the third, a deficit the Rams had no chance of recovering from.

Braelyn Isidro went supernova for Forest Lake Academy, almost dropping a double-double on 17 points and nine steals. Isidro also put up a block, which washer first of the season. Brooke Maynard was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 12 boards.

Meanwhile, Foundation Academy posted their biggest win since November 19, 2024 on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 50-28 margin over Geneva.

Forest Lake Academy is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.3 points per game. As for Foundation Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9.

Forest Lake Academy strolled past Foundation Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a score of 49-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for Forest Lake Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
