Baseball Recap: New Smyrna Beach Takes a Loss

New Smyrna Beach was the 9-4 winner over Deltona when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The New Smyrna Beach Barracudas came up short against the Deltona Wolves on Friday, falling 9-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

New Smyrna Beach's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Deltona, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Smyrna Beach will face off against Satellite at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Satellite is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Deltona, they will square off against Horizon at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Horizon will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Deltona surely won't give up without a fight.
