Basketball Recap: Peak to Peak Continues Road Dominance on Friday

Peak to Peak is still undefeated this season after their game against Aspen on Friday, but Aspen came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Peak to Peak Pumas narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Aspen Skiers 44-41.

Peak to Peak got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cole Boonstra out in front who posted nine points along with six steals and five rebounds. Boonstra is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least three every time he's taken the court this season. Elijah Eschmeyer was another key player, putting up nine points along with six boards and three blocks.

Several Skiers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Henry Hurd, who had nine points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Giovanni Seeman, who posted seven points and six boards.

Peak to Peak pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.2 points per game. As for Aspen, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-2.

Peak to Peak wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 45-33 victory against Pagosa Springs on the 4th. As for Aspen, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-53 defeat against Holy Family on the 4th.
