Volleyball Recap: The Woodlands Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

The Woodlands had won four straight home games and Ava Gibbs did her part to make it five on Friday. The Highlanders were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Oak Ridge War Eagles for which the team can thank Gibbs, who had 28 digs and five assists. She has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 37 times she's played.

While The Woodlands won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-15, 25-23.

Despite the loss, Oak Ridge still got an impressive performance from Brooklyn McQueary, who had seven digs and two assists.

The Woodlands' win bumped their record up to 22-18. As for Oak Ridge, their defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 26-10.

As of now, neither The Woodlands nor the War Eagles have any future games scheduled.
