Basketball Recap: South Philadelphia Comes Up Short

South Philadelphia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Strawberry Mansion Knights and fell 66-38. The Rams lost against the Knights in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 58-52 score last time.

Shamar Davis was his usual excellent self, putting up 26 points for Strawberry Mansion. Hakim Basit was another key player, posting 11 points.

South Philadelphia's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Strawberry Mansion, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

South Philadelphia will head out to square off against Olney at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Strawberry Mansion, they will welcome Maritime Academy Charter at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Strawberry Mansion is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.6 points per game this season.
