Volleyball Game Preview: Mendota Trojans vs. Mercer County Golden Eagles + How To Watch

The Mendota Trojans are taking a road trip to take on the Mercer County Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Thursday, Mendota didn't have quite enough to beat Bureau Valley and fell 2-1. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Storm recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Mendota started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-19, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Mercer County came up short against Newman Central Catholic on Wednesday and fell 2-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-13.

Mendota's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Mercer County, their loss dropped their record down to 8-13.

Mendota couldn't quite get it done against Mercer County in their previous meeting back in September of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
