There's no place like home for Davidson Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They put the hurt on the Pope John Paul II Knights with a sharp 9-2 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won 15 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Davidson Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for Pope John Paul II, their loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-23.
