Volleyball Recap: Leila Pele and Brooklyn Kelly Secure Win for Sultana

Sultana posted their closest victory since October 3, 2024 on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the Palm Desert Aztecs. This was a revenge game for the Sultans: when they faced off against the Aztecs on Saturday, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

Leading Sultana to victory were Brooklyn Kelly and Leila Pele. Kelly had five digs and three aces, while Pele had 11 assists and six digs. What's more, Kelly posted three assists, the most she's had since back in October of 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for Sultana and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Palm Desert, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 3-1.

Sultana has already played their next contest, a 1-0 win against Rancho Christian on the 9th. As for Palm Desert, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Arrowhead Christian on the 13th.
