The biggest upset of the week belonged to South Side, who took down 440th ranked Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, 28-7.

Rochester extended the longest winning streak in WPIAL A Big Seven this week by beating Neshannock, 28-21. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Rams.

Joseph Sebes and Zack Woznichak gave the Chargers a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Sebes threw for 40 yards, while Woznichak ran for 57 yards. Teammate Sebes added to the ground attack by rushing for nine yards.

Nick Miller was the best wideout in the league this week as Western Beaver fell to Laurel. Miller racked up four receptions for 165 yards.

6-foot-0 quarterback Joe Salmen of Union Area is the league leader in passing yards this season with 519. He has also thrown six touchdowns. On the ground, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart's Isiah Neely has rushed for 532 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Miller. The Western Beaver star has 10 catches for 339 yards.

A big matchup in WPIAL A Big Seven this week will be when the Spartan take on Rochester. Laurel is currently in fifth, while Eugene Matsook's team is in first.

The Rams moved up to 446 from 512 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. South Side was able to make the jump by beating Bill Daniels' team 28-7.
