Volleyball Recap: Central Wise Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Central Wise was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the John Battle Trojans. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Central Wise wouldn't go down easily and took John Battle into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-19, 25-16, 21-25, 15-12.

Central Wise's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for John Battle, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Central Wise didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Abingdon on the 16th. As for John Battle, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Union on the 16th.
