Football Recap: Hartfield Academy Falls Short Against Ranked Jackson Academy

Hartfield Academy faced Jackson Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Hawks lost to the Raiders at home by a 41-22 margin. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Hartfield Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Collin McIntyre, who rushed for 80 yards and two TDs, and Ethan Elliott, who threw for 187 yards and one touchdown.

Josef Walker went supernova For Jackson Academy., throwing for 197 yards and a pair of TDs on only 11 passes, while also rushing for 35 yards and one score. Jaydann Hollins was in the mix as well, providing the Raiders with two touchdowns.

Hartfield Academy's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Jackson Academy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

As for Jackson Academy, they will square off against Madison-Ridgeland Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders will need to watch out since the Patriots have now posted at least 31 points in their last four matches.
