Tinley Park had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 16-run drubbing they dealt Hillcrest on Monday. In other batting news, Megan Piotrowski was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases and three runs. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. Lilia Flores was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Tinley Park always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .607. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hillcrest only posted an OBP of .143.
Tinley Park's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-10. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Hillcrest, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-14.
