Genoa Area had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.3 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They claimed a resounding 80-31 win over the Lake Flyers. The Comets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 21 points or more this season.

Genoa Area has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Lake, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7.

Genoa Area will face off against Smithville at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Smithville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Genoa Area likes a good challenge. As for Lake, they will challenge Rossford at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake is facing Rossford at the right time seeing as Rossford is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
