Basketball Game Preview: Mojave Mustangs vs. Lone Pine Golden Eagles

The Mojave Mustangs will square off against the Lone Pine Golden Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Last Wednesday, Mojave blew past Owens Valley, posting a 47-16 victory. The matchup marked the Mustangs' most dominant win of the season.

Meanwhile, Lone Pine waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Crusaders 84-22. The Golden Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 games by 24 points or more this season.

Lone Pine is also on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.1 points per game. As for Mojave, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-9.

Mojave was taken down by Lone Pine 62-22 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Mojave avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
