Basketball Game Preview: Vanlue Wildcats vs. Ada Bulldogs

The Vanlue Wildcats will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Ada Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Vanlue is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Elgin on Monday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Wildcats had to suffer through a 61-22 loss at the hands of the Comets. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-12.

Adrienne Phillips was Vanlue's leading scorer, having posted 11 points. Candace Saltzman held things down on the boards with ten rebounds. Madi Brooks took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Meanwhile, Ada came up short against Hardin Northern on Tuesday and fell 40-33. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ada now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Vanlue, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Vanlue beat Ada 45-34 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
