Basketball Game Preview: Nooksack Valley Pioneers vs. Lynden Christian Lyncs

The Nooksack Valley Pioneers will head out on the road to take on the Lynden Christian Lyncs at 5:40 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Wednesday, Nooksack Valley didn't have too much trouble with Mt. Baker as they won 59-43. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pioneers.

Meanwhile, Lynden Christian entered their tilt with Anacortes on Wednesday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Seahawks 64-26. Given the Lyncs' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Seahawks are ranked 88th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lynden Christian pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Nooksack Valley, their win bumped their record up to 10-5.

Nooksack Valley beat Lynden Christian 53-45 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Nooksack Valley since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
