Softball Game Preview: Richland Springs Coyotes vs. Ballinger Bearcats

The Richland Springs Coyotes will square off against the Ballinger Bearcats at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Richland Springs is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 16 runs last Friday, they were much more limited against Medina on Friday. They came up short against the Bobcats, falling 14-2. The Coyotes haven't had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Ballinger was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 18-8 to Bangs.

Ava Aguilera made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Olivia Aguilera, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Richland Springs' loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Ballinger, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.
