Volleyball Game Preview: Seminole Seminoles vs. Oviedo Lions

The Seminole Seminoles will face off against the Oviedo Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Seminole has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with four straight defeats, while Oviedo will come in with four straight wins.

Seminole came up short against Academy of Central Florida National on Monday, falling 3-0.

Seminole was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-22, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Oviedo faced Lyman in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Oviedo walked away with a 2-0 victory over Lyman.

Seminole better keep an eye on Isaiah Stringer. He was instrumental in Oviedo's win, getting 30 digs and three assists. The dominant performance gave Stringer a new career-high in digs.

Seminole's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Oviedo, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Seminole came out on top in a nail-biter against Oviedo when the teams last played back in March of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Will Seminole repeat their success, or does Oviedo have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
