Basketball Game Preview: Stevens Point Panthers vs. Mount Horeb Vikings

The Stevens Point Panthers and the Mount Horeb Vikings will round out the year against one another at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday. Stevens Point knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Mount Horeb likes a good challenge.

It was a proper cat-fight when Stevens Point challenged Verona on Monday. The Panthers walked away with a 55-48 victory over the Wildcats. Those 55 points were actually the fewest the Panthers have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Meanwhile, Mount Horeb ended up a good deal behind Slinger on Saturday and lost 61-45. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Stevens Point's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.8 points over those games. As for Mount Horeb, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
