Lake Braddock hadn't done well against Alexandria City recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bruins skirted past the Titans 3-2. This was payback for the Bruins, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Lake Braddock had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 23-25, 25-18, 25-19, 15-7.

Morgan Williams paced Lake Braddock's offense, picking up 18 kills. Williams got some help from Micki Millsaps and her 29 assists. Kenlee King controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Lake Braddock now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Alexandria City, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.
