Bowie had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Northwestern Wildcats a 22-0 shutout. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 contests by seven runs or more this season.

Bowie's win bumped their record up to 19-7. As for Northwestern, their loss dropped their record down to 7-17.

Bowie didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Bladensburg on the 4th. Hopefully Northwestern paid attention to the Bulldogs' matchup: the next time they hit the field , they'll take on the Bulldogs on Friday.
