Soccer Game Preview: Central vs. Brookwood

The Central Falcons will face off against the Brookwood Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Central's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Central's offense. They fell just short of Holy Spirit Catholic by a score of 1-0 on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Brookwood kept a clean sheet against Holy Spirit Catholic on Monday. Everything went their way against the Saints as they made off with a 6-0 victory. Considering the Panthers have won three contests by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Brookwood, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-5.

Central suffered a grim 6-2 defeat to Brookwood when the teams last played back in March of 2024. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Central was down 3-0.
