Basketball Recap: North Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

North waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Simley Spartans with a sharp 61-41 win. Given the Polars' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 116th, while the Spartans are ranked 301st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

North's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.2 points per game. As for Simley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

North will face off against St. Thomas Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Simley, they will challenge Hastings at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hastings knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 18 games -- so hopefully Simley likes a good challenge.
