Volleyball Recap: Alexandria Lemaster Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Nogales

Cienega's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They put the hurt on the Nogales Apaches with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Cienega never let Nogales on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-15, 25-23.

Cienega got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alexandria LeMaster out in front who had eight digs and three aces. That's the most aces LeMaster has posted over her last three matches. Cherie Addington was another key player, getting seven digs and three aces.

Cienega's record now sits at 12-9. As for Nogales, their loss dropped their record down to 4-19.

Cienega wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Desert View on the 29th. As for Nogales, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Pueblo on the 29th.
